Overview

Job Title: Quality Control Inspector

Position Function: Coordinate and perform daily activities of Inspection department to ensure all incoming parts are inspected and processed appropriately and in a timely manner.

Required Education: High school graduate or equivalent required.

Experience: 2-3 years’ experience in inspection required. Experience with machined and fabricated parts and assemblies preferred.

Relevant Skills: Must be able to read blueprints. Knowledgeable of all types of inspection equipment and procedures is preferred. Good verbal and written communication skills; Accuracy and attention to detail a must.

Physcial Requirements: May require travel up to 10%; May involve climbing, working in small spaces, and working at heights of 30-60 feet. Required to stand for long periods of time and to walk frequently. Must be able to climb, bend, squat, reach, twist, and lift or carry up to 50 pounds.

Essential Tasks:

1. Inspect required Work-in-Process components to assure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
2. Inspect and document condition of parts scheduled for outside operations prior to shipment.
3. Work with Industrial Engineering and Engineering on questionable parts to verify specifications and/or other design features.
4. Record RA for sanitary finish. This is used for surface finish certificates.
5. Assure cleanliness of own work area for safety and appearance reasons.
6. Issue and deliver parts to assembly as requested for active projects.
7. Process NCM material.
